Six years ago, we filmed a video to tell the story of Evolution Fulfillment. At the time, it accurately reflected who we were as a company and the services we provided to our clients.

A lot can happen in six years.

Since then, Evolution Fulfillment has grown significantly. We’ve expanded our operations, invested in technology, strengthened our team, and supported hundreds of businesses as they scale their e-commerce and fulfillment operations. The company featured in that original video is not the same company we are today.

While we remain proud of our roots, our existing video no longer reflects the scale of our operation, the sophistication of our technology, or the incredible team that drives our success every day.

That’s why we’re excited to announce that we are beginning production on a brand-new company video.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll be working alongside the award-winning team at Fluevog Films to capture the next chapter of Evolution Fulfillment’s story. Founded by John and April Fluevog, Fluevog Films has built a reputation for creating compelling visual stories that authentically showcase organizations, people, and brands.

Rather than simply producing a promotional video, our goal is to provide an authentic look at who we are, what we do, and how we help businesses grow. We want viewers to experience the energy of our team, the scale of our operations, and the technology-driven solutions that power our fulfillment services.

Most importantly, we want the video to reflect the values that have guided our company since day one: integrity, innovation, accountability, and a commitment to helping our clients succeed.

Creating a new company video is also an opportunity to celebrate the people behind the scenes. Every package shipped, every inventory transaction processed, and every customer supported is the result of dedicated team members working together to deliver exceptional service.

As filming gets underway, we’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes photos and updates through our newsletter and social media channels. We’re excited to take our clients, partners, and community along for the journey.

The story of Evolution Fulfillment continues to evolve, and we look forward to sharing this next chapter with you soon.

Stay tuned.

At Evolution, we believe strong companies are built by investing in people — not just processes.

Over the next three months, members of our management team will be participating in a focused mentorship program designed to support the growth and development of selected team members across the organization.

The program was created with a simple but meaningful goal: to contribute to each mentee in an area that matters to them personally or professionally. Whether that means building leadership confidence, strengthening communication skills, developing strategic thinking, or preparing for future career opportunities, the mentorship experience is intended to create lasting value through regular one-on-one conversations.

Our leadership team carefully selected participants based on potential, commitment, and the opportunity for growth. Throughout the program, mentors and mentees will meet consistently to build trust, exchange ideas, and explore both strengths and opportunities for development.

More importantly, this is not a “check-the-box” initiative.

The commitment from our management team is to genuinely understand each mentee — who they are, what motivates them, where their strengths already exist, and where growth can be unlocked. Through meaningful dialogue, thoughtful listening, and shared experience, the goal is to help each participant move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

At Evolution, mentorship is about more than career advancement. It is about creating an environment where people feel seen, supported, and challenged to become the best version of themselves.

As our company continues to grow, we know that developing leaders from within will always be one of the most important investments we can make.

We are excited to see the impact this program will have — not only on the individuals involved, but on the culture and future of Evolution as a whole.

Evolution Group Of Companies Founders, Gwen and Ben Martin were honoured to attend the Annual Delta Firefighters Mayor’s Charity Ball this year in support of the incredible work being done by the Delta Firefighters Charitable Society.

At Evolution Group of Companies, we are proud annual supporters of the Delta Firefighters Society and the meaningful impact they continue to make within our community. What stands out most is their commitment to ensuring children in Delta have access to nutritious food during the school day — something many families are quietly struggling with during challenging economic times.

The Delta Fire Fighters Healthy Snack Program, launched in 2021, was created to support children and youth in need throughout our community. Funded through firefighter payroll deductions and generous community donors, the program recognizes the critical role nutrition plays in a child’s ability to learn, focus, and thrive.

Today, the program reaches approximately 3,000 children every day by delivering healthy breakfast items, snacks, and lunch options directly to schools across Delta. What makes this initiative especially remarkable is that it is entirely volunteer-run. Off-duty Delta firefighters personally purchase, organize, and deliver food to local schools each month, ensuring that every dollar raised goes directly toward supporting students.

Beyond the meals themselves, the program is helping remove the stigma often associated with asking for help. There is no charge to schools or students, and the focus remains on dignity, compassion, and community support.

We would like to thank the Delta Firefighters Charitable Society, all of the volunteers, donors, and organizers of the Charity Ball for the work they do to strengthen our community and support local families.

We are grateful to play a small part in supporting an initiative that is making such a meaningful difference in the lives of children throughout Delta.

“We proudly ship our Made in Australia Redback Boots to retailers and consumers from coast to coast through Evolution Fulfillment. It’s incredibly reassuring to know that every order is handled with precision and shipped out as quickly as possible.”
— Kathy Keating, Revolution Supply Co Ltd.

Some brands are built to scale. Others are built to last.

Redback Boots is both.

A person's legs wearing Redback Boots and standing on a rock.

Redback isn’t a new story. It’s a five-generation story.

Owned and operated by the Cloros family, the company’s roots go back to the early 1900s—a time when craftsmanship wasn’t a marketing angle, it was simply the way things were done. Today, that same mindset still defines the brand.

Every pair of Redback boots is handmade in Australia. Every step of the process is overseen in their factory in Alexandria, Sydney. In a world where so much manufacturing has been outsourced, Redback has stayed committed to doing things the right way—even when it’s harder.

Their approach to product design is straightforward. They focus on the people who wear their boots, the environments they work in, and the demands placed on them every day. From there, they build something that performs—consistently and without compromise.

The result is a product that reflects the Australian work ethic: tough, practical, and built without unnecessary complexity. No shortcuts. No overengineering. Just boots that do their job.

That durability starts with the materials.

Redback sources premium full-grain leather exclusively from Australia and New Zealand—hides that are thicker, more resilient, and better suited to demanding conditions than standard materials. Each hide is carefully selected, treated, and cut to maximize both comfort and longevity.

Whether the requirement is resistance to water, heat, or oil, every design decision ties back to performance. The leather is built to withstand the same conditions as the people wearing it.

Two feet wearing Redback Boots hover over water.

What sets Redback apart isn’t just heritage—it’s consistency.

For nearly a century, the company has followed the same philosophy: control the process, focus on quality, and never lose sight of the end user. That means no compromise on materials, no outsourcing of critical production steps, and no disconnect between design and real-world use.

While the boots are made in Sydney, their reach extends far beyond Australia.

Through partners like Evolution Fulfillment, Redback Boots are shipped efficiently across North America, connecting Australian craftsmanship with retailers and customers thousands of miles away. It’s a combination that works—heritage manufacturing on one side, modern, reliable distribution on the other.

Because when the product is built right, the rest of the experience has to match.

Despite its long history, Redback is not standing still. The brand continues to evolve—refining its products, expanding its reach, and staying true to the principles that built it.

That’s what makes it compelling.

Not just where it came from—but how it continues to move forward.

How Evolution Fulfillment Helped Gentle Fawn with their 3PL Needs

Overpromised and underserviced, Danny & Carla of Gentle Fawn were frustrated enough to seek out a better third-party logistics company for their warehousing and distribution needs. What they ended up with was a more efficient business and more money in the bank.

In Danny’s Own Words

The Backstory

“Prior to moving our goods to Evolution Fulfillment, we had used two other warehouses to manage our third-party logistics needs. Both of the facilities were very large and at times, we felt that, due to the volumes, the timelines surrounding the servicing of our product fell behind the larger brands. The other warehouses that we dealt with did not process our inventory as promised, we were promised 100% verification of all inbound product and had paid for that service, but found out later that that only a percentage of the inbound product had been verified. We had also been promised that our commodities would be processed within certain timelines but quite often during peak seasons timelines were not met. We were also promised that staff would be available after hours and on weekends, but when this service was required, it was not available.

The biggest problem was that the warehouses IT was not compatible with our IT and they didn’t have a plan to integrate it in a way that would work for us. So this caused a lot of extra work and duplication of work.”

The Evolution Solution

“When we moved all of the product over to Evolution Fulfillment, Evolution Fulfillment guaranteed 100% verification of all inbound and outbound product, Evolution Fulfillment provided Service Level Agreements letting us know exactly what to expect and has been able to meet all of the SLA expectations through effective communication with our Production Team. By reaching out to our team prior to the busy season, Evolution Fulfillment has staffed accordingly to ensure that all SLA’s are met.

Evolution Fulfillment has scheduled additional staff on evenings and weekends to meet important deadlines for us and feels just as responsible for the success of our business, as they do their own.

Evolution Fulfillment’s programmers have worked tirelessly to ensure that our IT is compatibly integrated, allowing us to manage our business more efficiently.

When we moved our Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Credit Management over to Evolution Fulfillment, we saved approximately 20% in administrative costs from having the staff in house. Evolution’s Accounts Receivable team focuses on managing healthy customer relationships with a continued focus on ensuring that we have been paid.”

Positive Results

Better technology, cost savings and improved service gave Family Business a more profitable and efficient business.

  • Saved ~20% from outsourcing administration.
  • True IT integration between warehouse and Family Business reduced administration, streamlined reporting and increased the both quality and speed of key information.
  • Realized 100% verification on all inbound and outbound product.
  • Contracted SLA regarding delivery expectations and peak period staffing gave brand peace of mind on hitting delivery dates

Yesterday, Evolution Fulfillment had the privilege of joining Amazon Canada, Rivian, and local leaders to celebrate a major milestone in sustainable logistics — the launch of Amazon’s first electric delivery vans (EDVs) in Canada, right here in Delta, BC.

Fifty Rivian-built electric vans are now hitting the streets of Greater Vancouver, marking the beginning of Amazon’s electric delivery fleet rollout across the country. The event was attended by local dignitaries including Acting Mayor Dylan Kruger, Councillor Jennifer Johal, and Richard Wischnewski from the Delta Chamber of Commerce. Our CEO, Ben Martin was honoured to represent Evolution Fulfillment as we witnessed first-hand the future of carbon-conscious delivery in action — even taking a ride in one of the new vehicles to experience the innovation up close.

Amazon’s Rivian EDVs feature leading-edge safety, visibility, and navigation technology designed to improve driver comfort while dramatically reducing environmental impact. This investment aligns with Amazon’s Climate Pledge commitment to reach net-zero carbon by 2040 — a goal we at Evolution Fulfillment are proud to support through our own operations and client partnerships.

At Evolution, we work with several brands that sell on Amazon, both through Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and Fulfillment by Merchant (FBM) models:

If you run an online store, you know that your customer’s experience doesn’t end at checkout. It continues long after they’ve clicked “buy.”

They’re judging your brand when an order ships quickly and arrives on time. They’re definitely forming an opinion when an order shows up damaged, has missing items, or is the wrong size.

That’s why choosing the right fulfillment service isn’t just a background task—it’s a crucial decision that impacts your revenue, customer loyalty, and your brand’s future. A great partner can feel like a secret weapon for growth, while the wrong one can quietly eat away at your profits, reputation, and time.

This guide will walk you through how to pick the best fulfillment partner for your business, no matter what stage you’re at—all in simple, easy-to-understand terms.

What Do E-commerce Fulfillment Services Actually Do?

At its core, fulfillment covers everything that happens after a customer places an order. This includes:

  • Receiving and storing your products
  • Picking and packing orders correctly
  • Shipping through reliable carriers
  • Managing returns smoothly
  • Getting products ready for Amazon (FBA prep)
  • Giving you a real-time view of your inventory
  • Handling orders from your website, Amazon, and wholesale partners

The best fulfillment services act like an extension of your own team. They automate tasks, protect your brand’s reputation, and ensure everything runs smoothly as you grow. If your current partner is creating more work than they’re solving, it might be time for a change.

How to Know When It’s Time to Outsource Fulfillment

Most growing brands eventually find that handling fulfillment in-house becomes a major headache. You’re likely ready to outsource if you’re dealing with:

  • A rising number of orders (around 500–2,500+ per month)
  • Too many different products (SKUs) to manage effectively
  • An increase in returns and repackaging work
  • Selling on multiple channels (your website, Amazon, wholesale)
  • High storage or labor costs
  • Slow shipping times or delayed order processing
  • Plans to expand into new markets like the US or Canada

When you find yourself spending more time on logistics than on creating great products and marketing, outsourcing becomes a smart move for growth, not just an expense.

Which Fulfillment Model Is Right for You?

Here’s a simple breakdown to help you find the right model based on your business size and needs.

  • In-House Fulfillment: Best for new brands with a manageable order volume and a small number of products. This works well until you start selling on multiple channels or your product line expands.
  • Hybrid Fulfillment: A mix of doing some fulfillment yourself and outsourcing the rest. This is a great option for brands with 500–1,000 orders per week, as it helps manage busy periods or special projects like VIP kits.
  • Full 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) Partner: Ideal for established brands that sell across multiple channels, need to ship internationally, and are focused on growth. A full 3PL provides service guarantees, accuracy, and the ability to scale with you. If you’re consistently getting over 1,500 orders a week, this is usually the most efficient and cost-effective choice.

Why Your Brand Experience Should Guide Your Choice

Many businesses focus only on price when choosing a fulfillment partner. But remember, the packaging is the first physical interaction a customer has with your brand.

A partner that cares about your brand experience will:

  • Pack orders with high accuracy
  • Use your custom-branded packaging consistently
  • Reduce returns through better quality control
  • Create a memorable unboxing experience
  • Handle special needs like folding, bagging, or creating kits for apparel

A brand-focused fulfillment partner directly contributes to customer loyalty. It’s the difference between a one-time purchase and a customer for life.

Selling in Canada and the US? Your Partner Needs a Cross-Border Strategy

If you sell in both the US and Canada, your fulfillment partner needs to be an expert in cross-border shipping. This includes managing:

  • Duties and taxes
  • Customs compliance and paperwork
  • Programs that let you pay duties upfront so customers don’t get surprise bills
  • Ways to optimize shipping to reduce costs and delays
  • Options to store inventory in both countries

A smart cross-border plan prevents shipping delays, customer complaints, and unexpected fees—all of which can hurt your bottom line.

Tech is the Backbone of Modern Fulfillment

A modern fulfillment service depends on real-time information. Your partner’s systems should connect smoothly with your online store (like Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento), Amazon, and any other business software you use.

If a fulfillment service can’t automatically sync your inventory, route orders, or provide live status updates, you’ll run into major operational issues as your business grows.

Understanding Pricing: What Really Affects Your Costs

It’s easy to get fixated on the “pick and pack” fee, but that’s just one piece of the puzzle. Your total cost is a combination of several fees, including:

  • Storage (for pallets, shelves, or bins)
  • Receiving your inventory
  • Packaging materials
  • Processing returns
  • Amazon FBA prep
  • Extra charges during busy seasons
  • Cross-border shipping fees
  • Account management support

To get a true sense of the cost, always ask for a sample invoice. A low pick fee can often hide other expensive charges.

A 30-Day Plan to Evaluate a Fulfillment Partner

Here’s a simple, four-week process to test a potential partner and avoid making a bad decision:

  • Week 1: Test their technology. Make sure their systems connect with yours and can sync inventory properly.
  • Week 2: Send some test orders through. Place orders for your website, wholesale, and Amazon to see how they handle each.
  • Week 3: Test their returns and FBA prep processes. See how they manage these critical workflows.
  • Week 4: Review everything. Check their service guarantees, compare pricing with a real invoice, and evaluate their overall performance.

This process helps you uncover any weaknesses or hidden risks before you sign a long-term contract.

Final Thoughts

Choosing the right e-commerce fulfillment service isn’t about finding the cheapest warehouse. It’s about finding a strategic partner who understands your business, protects your brand, and can support your growth.

Look for a fulfillment company that:

  • Understands your sales channels (website, Amazon, wholesale)
  • Integrates smoothly with your technology
  • Keeps your brand’s presentation a top priority
  • Supports expansion into the US and Canada
  • Manages all your fulfillment needs under one roof
  • Offers clear service guarantees and transparent pricing

Fulfillment isn’t just a cost—it’s a competitive advantage. If you’re ready to build that advantage, exploring a trusted partner like Evolution Fulfillment is a great place to start.
